What is SELAS?
SELAS is a tool for building a longer-term Bitcoin accumulation plan. You set a goal, see illustrative monthly amounts, receive scheduled accumulation steps and keep a record of the decisions you make.
When does an accumulation step open?
The current schedule is the 5th, 15th and 25th of each month, normally at 08:00 Viet Nam time (UTC+7). If publication is delayed, a step may open as late as 20:00 that day. An open step ordinarily lasts for up to 24 hours but can pause or close sooner. The app shows its live status. There are no additional unscheduled steps in this version.
What does a reference price mean?
Each step displays a market reference price and an upper reference threshold derived from the current calculation rules. These values help describe the step; they are not an offer, a guaranteed execution price or a promise about future price movements. In the current model, the step pauses if the market falls by 10% from its reference price. It may also expire or be withdrawn.
Is every step approved by a person?
Not necessarily. An operator may approve or reject a pending step, but under the current setup it may also be published automatically after an eight-minute review period. It is not described as human-approved unless human approval actually occurred.
How is this different from buying on a fixed schedule (DCA)?
Both approaches use a calendar. SELAS currently opens its accumulation steps on three set dates each month, while also showing reference prices, a limited active period and conditions that can pause a step. It does not wait within each window for a subjective “reasonable price” before opening the step. You decide whether to use any step or follow a different approach.
Does SELAS tell me how much Bitcoin to buy?
No order is issued or placed. If you tap “See my estimated amount”, SELAS can display an illustrative amount based on the Plan you entered. Under the current model this is limited to up to 30% of your monthly planned amount, adjusted for relevant amounts you have already recorded. It may not match your financial circumstances, and you can ignore it.
Does SELAS buy, sell or store Bitcoin for me?
No. SELAS does not connect to a trading account, place orders, hold Bitcoin or receive your investment funds. Any entries in History are recorded by you and are not independently verified with an exchange.
Must I keep the app open?
No. If you allow notifications, SELAS can notify you when a step opens. If you have not opened it, the app may send one reminder approximately six hours later, while it remains relevant. Delivery is not guaranteed.
Is SELAS free?
Yes. The initial release is free without a 30-day trial limit. There is no active paid subscription or automatic charge. Any future paid features would be offered only with separate notice and purchase confirmation.
Is it investment advice? Could I lose money?
SELAS does not assess your personal suitability or execute transactions. Its steps and calculations are informational and illustrative, not guaranteed outcomes. Bitcoin is volatile and you can lose all of the money you choose to invest. For advice tailored to your finances, consult an appropriately qualified professional.
What information does SELAS keep?
Account data, your Plan and History, selected notification language, device-notification information and limited security/support records. Servers are hosted in the United States. See our Privacy Policy for details, retention and rights.
Do I need to give my real email?
Not necessarily. On iPhone you can choose Continue with Apple and Hide My Email; Apple then gives SELAS a relay address. SELAS still needs a sign-in identifier and the information you enter in your Plan and History.
Who can use SELAS and when can I download it?
SELAS is intended for people aged 18 or older. It is currently in private testing and is not yet publicly available on the App Store. Supported countries and public release dates have not been announced.
