Privacy Policy

Effective / last updated: 6 November 2026

SELAS is operated by ONBIT VIET NAM COMPANY LIMITED (CÔNG TY TNHH ONBIT VIỆT NAM), business registration / tax number 0315283217, 14th Floor, HM Town Building, 412 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Ban Co Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam. ONBIT determines the purposes of processing personal information described here. This policy covers the SELAS app and getselas.com. Contact us about privacy at support@getselas.com.

Information we process

Account and security. We process your email, the date you created your account, your email verification status, and a one-way hash of your password. If you are given an account-recovery code, we store a hash of that code, not the code itself. The recovery code is shown to you only once.

Sign in with Apple. If you choose Continue with Apple, SELAS receives an Apple account identifier and, if you share one, your email address or a private relay address. We use this information to authenticate you, secure your account and link accounts when you request it. An Apple sign-in account has no SELAS password. We keep an encrypted Apple token only to keep your sign-in valid and to revoke SELAS's access when you delete your account. Apple separately processes authentication information under its own terms.

Your Plan. We store the goal amount and currency you choose, your Plan settings, and the monthly amount calculated from them. This is an illustrative plan, not an actual account balance or evidence of an investment.

Your History. We store steps you mark as recorded, skipped or unanswered and any Bitcoin amounts, prices, fees or notes you enter or confirm. Some values may initially be estimates. SELAS does not connect to an exchange to verify your activity.

Preferences. Your selected notification language is stored with your account so we can send messages in that language. Other preferences, such as sound and some currency/display settings, are stored on your device; the currency of your saved Plan is stored with that Plan.

Step notifications. With your permission, we process a device push token, a random installation identifier and information needed to send and monitor delivery of step notifications. If a step remains unopened, SELAS may send one reminder after approximately six hours, while the step remains relevant. The notification language comes from your account preference.

Support and operational records. If you contact us, we process the message and our reply. We also maintain internal audit records about account creation, recovery and support actions to protect the service, investigate errors and prevent misuse.

Market information. Bitcoin market prices come from publicly available market data and are not, by themselves, your personal information.

We do not connect to your bank or exchange, collect payment-card information in this free release, or use advertising or third-party advertising analytics trackers. Our own web server is configured without visitor access logs. Technical network information may still be processed by infrastructure or messaging providers to deliver the service. Please do not send passwords, recovery codes or other sensitive information to Support.

How and why we use information

We use this information to create and protect accounts, verify your email, provide your Plan and History, show illustrative amounts only when you request them, deliver optional step notifications, provide support, secure and maintain the service, comply with applicable law, and prevent the restoration of deleted accounts from backups.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Where applicable law requires consent for a processing activity, we request that consent. You can turn off optional notifications in the app or your device settings. The applicable legal basis for other activities, including security logs, is subject to local-law requirements.

Providers and processing locations

SELAS uses DigitalOcean for hosting; the primary application server is in the United States. Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging are used to deliver push notifications and may receive device delivery information and the notification content. Resend is used to deliver account and recovery emails and may receive the destination email and content needed to send them. Data may be processed in other jurisdictions according to each provider's infrastructure and contractual arrangements.

Retention and account deletion

We keep account data, your Plan, your History and notification information while your account remains active and for any additional period required by applicable law. When you delete your account through Account → Delete account, we remove the account and related active-system data as described in the deletion process, and we ask Apple to revoke SELAS's access if you signed in with Apple.

To prevent a restored backup from bringing back a deleted account, we retain a limited deletion ledger containing random account/device identifiers and the deletion date, without the account email. This ledger is retained for the ongoing purpose of enforcing deletion and is not used to recreate accounts. Database backups may persist for up to 14 days before being overwritten or deleted.

Support messages are kept for up to 24 months after your request is resolved, and internal security and audit records for up to 12 months, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may request access to or a copy of your information, corrections, deletion, or the restriction of certain processing; you may also object to certain uses, withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis, or raise a complaint with the relevant authority. These rights may have legal exceptions.

You can edit your Plan and History, change your language where available, and turn notifications on or off. You can delete your account in the app. For additional privacy requests, write to support@getselas.com. We may ask for enough information to verify that the account belongs to you. We will respond as required by applicable law.

If the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) applies to ONBIT and your information, California residents may have additional rights, including rights to know, correct, delete, limit certain uses of sensitive information and opt out of sale or sharing, where those activities apply. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Security

Connections use HTTPS, passwords and recovery codes are stored as one-way hashes, Apple tokens are stored encrypted, and access to production systems is restricted. No service is completely risk-free; please keep your password and recovery code secure.

Age

SELAS is intended for adults aged 18 and above.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update its effective date and notify you about material changes through the app or email when required by law.
